About Us

Matthew Doyle and James Thomas are the owners and directors of Newport Marine Services and based at the RMYC in Newport.

Matt's career has spanned more than 20 years in the industry and he has been at the helm of NMS since it's inception in 2005. His relationship with our customers, suppliers, our staff and with the RMYC staff & directors has proved a recipe for success with the business flourishing year after year.

James carried out his apprenticeship at NMS and then moved abroad to forge a career in super yacht vessel management. After a successful few years James returned home to Australia and to NMS and to take up a substantial role in the business.

We also now have Joel Nix managing our workshop in Bobbin Head.

All three bring a wealth of knowledge and experience within the pleasure boating industry and we have a professional team that are strongly committed to quality workmanship and excellent service.
